In Honor of our Forever Panther:

Allison Horn was a very special part of our soccer program at CHHS for four years, from 1999-2003. Allison had an extremely successful soccer career at CHHS, earning all-district honors all four years, named to the Dallas Morning News and Fort Worth Star Telegram's all area teams her junior and senior year and the Area Top Defensive Player her senior year. She was also named captain her junior and senior years. In Allison's senior year, she was voted "most athletic" by her classmates.

More important to Allison than her individual successes were the team achievements. During those four years the soccer team reached the highest standard of excellence. Winning the state championship her freshman year, regional finals her sophomore year, state semifinals her junior year and regional finals her senior year. In four years of competition the soccer team did not lose a regular season or tournament game. The teams she was a part of finished 99-3-1. Allison's senior year she had multiple scholarship offers and signed to play at Texas Tech.

After a successful freshman season, Allison came home during Spring Break after being on a mission trip. While she was home, a drunk driver hit her mother's car and Allison died after 4 1/2 days in a coma. You may still visit the memorial on the CHHS campus that was erected to Allison. A quote from the memorial that was placed in Allison's honor at Texas Tech: "We may never know the full effects our lives have on the others and on this world, but what matters is that we are fortunate to be able to lead - -more than a successful life -- but a significant life.

Allison lived such a life, and continues to do so, even in the silence of death, as her spirit and memory lives on forever."

Alison also lives on in her final gift as an organ donor.

In honor of Allison Horn's legacy, CHHS has retired the #10.
